Our Story

Rooted in Balinese tradition, cooked with family hands

Ibu Oka began as a humble family warung, roasting several pigs each morning for neighbours and passing travellers. Word of the crackling skin and fragrant spice spread far beyond the village.

Three generations later, the same fire still burns before dawn. Nothing has been rushed, and nothing has been replaced — only shared with the world that now comes to find us.

The Babi Guling was good. Would recommend! The pork slices were thick and non-fatty. Soup was flavourful.

Very delicious and authentic babi guling in Ubud. The meat is nicely marinated, the side vege is authentic Balinese taste, the blood sausage is also the traditional one. The crispy pork skin is a must to try. I specifically love the sitting area at the patio, the eating atmosphere is wonderful! If you look for authentic Balinese Babi guling, here is the best one. Will always come back here for nasi babi guling since many years!

Pretty much I would say it was good at local food, ambience and service. I will recommend my friends and family when they come Ubud, Bali.

Very interesting food to taste. The spices and the texture of the different meats served. If you're a foodie, you should visit. The atmosphere is really nice. It's a hidden calm corner with w decent view of a forest for a relaxing meal.

Few Balinese recommended us to try sucking pigs in Bali. It's pig in various forms. The pork was delicious. When we want to order more grilled or fried pork skin, no extra plates left. I believe that the spicy level has been adjusted lower to suit the foreigner's tongue.

This was probably the best local meal we have had so far while in Ubud. It's very inexpensive, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the suckling pig was to die for. If you come to Ubud, and you miss this, you'll have missed one of the best things to eat here.

This is a must try. The meat was great and tender and juicy. The skin was crunchy and full of flavors. The salad was great as well. We also had some fried whatever. Its was delicious. And dont forget to try the blood sausage. I never wanted to eat it. But i gave it a try and o my goodness. I ordered a whole plate only with bloodsausage. Its was so full of flavors. I will never forget this

I've been a customer of Bu Oka since 1993. I also tried almost all suckling pig restaurants in Bali but none of them could make the delicious suckling pig like Bu Oka. The suckling pig in this restaurant is incomparably moist ,tasty, tender, and delicate, The pork skin is incredibly delicious. Anyway, Bu Oka's suckling pig was Anthony Bourdain's favorite food when visiting Bali.
